About The Event
Discover Ikebana, the Japanese Art of Floral Arrangement Step into the world of Ikebana and enjoy a morning of creativity, Japanese traditions and connection in a small, friendly group.
Sophie Personeni, founder of Atelier Reiwa and an Ikebana teacher with the Sogetsu School of Japan since 2016, welcomes you to her studio in Telok Kurau. The session begins with a tea ritual accompanied by a selection of treats, setting the atmosphere for your creative experience.
Following an introduction to the history and key principles of Ikebana, Sophie will guide you step by step as you create your own arrangement. Through the Kakeiho learning method, you will explore lines, balance, asymmetry and space, discover the characteristics of different plants, and learn techniques for creating harmonious and expressive arrangements.
No previous experience or artistic skills are needed. Whether you are curious about Japanese culture, love flowers or simply wish to try something new, this workshop…
