Daniela Erni

President

About Daniela: She grew up in the eastern valley of the Swiss Alps. As a masters graduate in business, she spent more than a decade in the financial world of Zurich, creating and orchestrating events nationally and internationally. Before moving to Singapore she and her partner travelled a year around the world. Passionate about the beauty of life and crafting unique events, she founded her company “Create Your Story” to produce intimate and exclusive weddings in Singapore & Switzerland. It has been her big dream to live and act out of her two favorite places in the world! One part of her heart deeply Swiss and the other in love with Asia. She loves to stay connected with the Swiss community through SAS.

About Thomas: He holds a master’s degree in law and has been supervising and advising financial institutions for over 16 years. He relocated to Singapore in 2021 together with his wife and two children. His enthusiasm for discovering new places and immersing himself in new cultures, together with open-minded and curious people, has led him to take on the role as VP of SAS. Thomas is always interested in meeting many exciting people and sharing new experiences with them. He is looking forward to playing an active role within the Swiss community in Singapore and enjoying time with old and new friends.

Joséphine Boller

Treasurer

About Josephine: Born in Geneva, Josephine moved to Fribourg to spend almost all of her studies there. Graduated with a Bachelor in Primary Education from the HEP Fribourg, she taught for a few years before changing lanes for accounting. Freshly certified with a Federal Diploma in Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management, she left Switzerland to go on an adventure in Singapore. Arrived in January 2021 in “the little Switzerland of Asia”, she decided to put her skills to use in the SAS committee to stay connected to the Swiss community while being able to meet new people. Being currently improving her English and as life does not have the same flavor without risk, she hopes to quickly find a job in Singapore where she aspires to spend a few good years.

Héloise Bühler-Ghipponi

About Héloise:  Héloise grew up in France and studied communication/PR in Paris, where she worked for mid- to large profit but also non-profit organisations in the communication departments. In 2006 Héloise moved to Switzerland, Zurich, the city where her husband comes from. During the following 12 years, she organised large events in Switzerland for associations and gave birth to her 4 children. In July 2019 the whole family moved to Singapore where Héloise enjoyed discovering Singapore, meeting new people, helping her children to have a good start in their new country, discovering new activities during the pandemic like learning guitar, sewing, wake boarding… As the desire to work grew, she decided to engage herself again professionally in associations and be part of the Swiss community helping them to meet and connect – making their expatriation a wonderful experience in Singapore.

Julie Choi

About Julie: Julie grew up and spent majority of her life in South Korea until she met her husband. Julie and her husband moved to Zurich from Korea in 2012, then moved to Singapore in 2015. She worked as office & event manager around 10 years in different companies in Singapore, Korea and Switzerland and studied hotel management in UCCR, Switzerland. She is very fond of experience in Switzerland, so joined SAS to keep in touch with the Swiss community in Singapore.

Karin Muntwyler

Event coordinator

About Karin: Karin moved to Singapore in 2017, after ten years of teaching as a Primary teacher in Switzerland. She now teaches at Swiss School in Singapore. She loves to explore Singapore’s neighbourhoods and nature, as well as Asia in general. She likes to see new places, try new food and get in touch with other cultures. Currently, Karin is learning Malay and hopes to use this language for future travels in Malaysia and Indonesia. Karin looks very much forward to her role as an Event Coordinator at SAS, and hopes to make many new friends along the way.

Carole Chatelain

About Carole : Carole grew up in Geneva and moved to Lausanne to complete her bachelor and master degrees in teaching.
After 4 great years of teaching in Lausanne, it was a good time to change perspective and the opportunity to come to Singapore fell into place. Arrived in July 2020, Carole is now working at the Swiss School in Singapore as a Primary Teacher. Managing different kind of events has always been part of what she liked to do for her students and friends and the opportunity to be part of the committee while organizing events and meeting new people came up. She is very happy to be joining the committee in 2021 and is looking forward to all the future experiences to come!
