About Daniela: She grew up in the eastern valley of the Swiss Alps. As a masters graduate in business, she spent more than a decade in the financial world of Zurich, creating and orchestrating events nationally and internationally. Before moving to Singapore she and her partner travelled a year around the world. Passionate about the beauty of life and crafting unique events, she founded her company “Create Your Story” to produce intimate and exclusive weddings in Singapore & Switzerland. It has been her big dream to live and act out of her two favorite places in the world! One part of her heart deeply Swiss and the other in love with Asia. She loves to stay connected with the Swiss community through SAS.

About Gian-Luca: Gian-Luca from Bern is a cybersecurity consultant, passionate paragliding pilot, and avid scuba diver. Since his recent move to Singapore in 2023, he’s dedicated to fostering a vibrant and active Swiss community.

About Loei: Born in Belgium, she graduated from Ghent and Brussels universities with double degrees in management and history and spent a year in Beijing for language exchange. Loei moved to Switzerland in 2007 with her Swiss partner and worked in Zurich and Basel for eight years. She has been working in private banking for over a decade, mostly with Swiss banks. In 2015 she moved again with her partner to Singapore, continuing her career in private banking. Loei is a committed foodie and loves cuisines from around the world. Growing up in trilingual Belgium with a Chinese background, Loei speaks French, German, Dutch, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She has joined the SAS as treasurer to remain close with the Swiss community in Singapore and to contribute to the Swiss scene in Singapore.

About Héloise: Héloise grew up in France and studied communication/PR in Paris, where she worked for mid- to large profit but also non-profit organisations in the communication departments. In 2006 Héloise moved to Switzerland, Zurich, the city where her husband comes from. During the following 12 years, she organised large events in Switzerland for associations and gave birth to her 4 children. In July 2019 the whole family moved to Singapore where Héloise enjoyed discovering Singapore, meeting new people, helping her children to have a good start in their new country, discovering new activities during the pandemic like learning guitar, sewing, wake boarding… As the desire to work grew, she decided to engage herself again professionally in associations and be part of the Swiss community helping them to meet and connect – making their expatriation a wonderful experience in Singapore.

About Cecile: Lawyer from Geneva, Switzerland, she moved to Singapore in August 2022 with her partner. She is currently working as an Associate at Luther Law Firm for the Swiss desk. Beside her Job, Cecile is also a painter. Art and art history have always been her passions. Her first art exhibition took place in Geneva in April 2023, and she is currently working on her second exhibition, which will be in Singapore in 2024. She also enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures, which was one of the reasons for relocating to Singapore. During her first 6 months in Singapore, Cecile was in charge of updating the French travel Guide “Le Petit Futé” and as a result she now almost knows Singapore by heart. She was particularly impressed by the richness in terms of cultural heritage, food, and diversity. Being part of the Swiss association committee is a way to participate to the spread of the Swiss culture in Singapore and to contribute to the country’s richness and diversity.

About Sylvie: She grew up in Biel/Bienne. After completing her commercial apprenticeship, she later continued her studies on the job, obtaining a Bachelor in Business Administration, followed by a federal diploma as HR Specialist. As HR Business Partner, she was active in training and event coordination in her previous positions. Last year, her partner was offered a job opportunity in Singapore, and it was not surprising that they decided to go abroad for this exciting experience. Very enthusiastic, Sylvie enjoys bringing people together to share good times. Full of ideas, she was already organizing activities with her friends and colleagues in Switzerland. Therefore, she is naturally continuing to do so in Singapore. It is with great pleasure that she is now going to get involved on behalf of the Swiss association, and hopes to widen her circle of friends and professional network.

About Carole : Carole grew up in Geneva and moved to Lausanne to complete her bachelor and master degrees in teaching.
After 4 great years of teaching in Lausanne, it was a good time to change perspective and the opportunity to come to Singapore fell into place. Arrived in July 2020, Carole is now working at the Swiss School in Singapore as a Primary Teacher. Managing different kind of events has always been part of what she liked to do for her students and friends and the opportunity to be part of the committee while organizing events and meeting new people came up. She is very happy to be joining the committee in 2021 and is looking forward to all the future experiences to come!

About Katia: Growing up in Switzerland in a multicultural family, Katia has always been curious about exploring the world and had the opportunity to live in the US, Australia and is now living in Singapore since September 2022. She has a Bachelor in Social Sciences from the University of Applied Sciences in Lausanne and a Master’s degree in Socio-Economics from the University of Geneva. She is passionate about sustainability and has been working at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) for 6 years where she supports large companies on their sustainability journey. She also loves giving back to the community she lives in and in fact, volunteering has always been a family affair. By joining the Swiss Association, Katia looks forward to engaging members locally while hopefully inspiring and sharing knowledge about sustainability.

About Kathleen was raised in Lausanne and lived in several countries around the world before relocating to Singapore in 2020 from Istanbul. She holds a degree in International Business Administration and worked for close to two decades in Communications in International Sport in the “Olympic Capital”. She now spends her time exploring and enjoying the tiny gem that is Singapore. A great fan of the outdoors and being active, she enjoys the numerous nature walks and hikes on offer as well as discovering the local flora and fauna of Singapore and South East Asia. She and her husband are both avid travellers, foodies and curious, so always keen to discover new places, cultures and cuisines.

About Leonie: She has one fourth Hungarian roots, grew up in Zurich and loves the Ticino. She met her husband during her studies and got married in Mallorca. Through her three-month stay in Vancouver, Canada, she discovered travelling and the joy of immersing herself in other cultures and living in different countries. When Leonie’s family got the opportunity to move to Singapore in spring 2022, they decided without hesitation to start this adventure together. Leonie holds a Master of Science in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. During her professional career she has had exposure to various industries and run her own group fitness business. She is passionate about minimalism, sustainability and innovation and has a strong interest in learning new things, meeting new people and intercultural collaboration. Leonie loves being active and explore Southeast Asia. Whether hiking, playing golf, tennis, running, biking, inline skating or walking; the important thing for her is to be outside, in motion and preferably in sunny and warm surroundings. She loves to find and create new solutions and opportunities. Change is the only constant! She is very glad to be part of the SAS family to extend her network, bring in her ideas and help to create wonderful events for the SAS Community.
