Meet our Singapore team
Janine took over the President position in April 2015.
About Janine: She took over the role as President of the Swiss Association of Singapore in April 2015, right after moving to Singapore for the second time. Besides volunteering for SAS Janine works as a Financial Controller at SEC Singapore-ETH Centre. She has extensive knowledge in Financial Controlling and Accounting and has international work experience in Europe, USA and Asia.
Favorite Local Dish: Xiao Long Bao, Sushi, Beef noodle soup, Chilli crab.
Favorite Touristic Place in Singapore: Marina Bay, Club street.
Special Interest: sport, different cultures, reading and food.
Lionel has taken over the Vice President role in July 2016.
About Lionel: He holds a MSc from HEC Lausanne in Business Information Systems and has worked around 20 years in the insurance, banking and consulting services in Switzerland and Europe. He seized with enthusiasm the opportunity of a new position in Singapore and relocated in January 2016. His first contacts with SAS motivated him not to let the VP position vacant any longer but to join the committee, take an active part in the life in the Swiss community, network and enjoy the people and places of this astonishing country.
Favorite Local Dish: ayam buah keluak, black pepper tiger prawn, prata double egg.
Favorite Touristic Place in Singapore: Little India & Tekka Centre, Keong Saik Road.
Special Interest: discovering Asia, geopolitics, good food paired with good wine.
Emmanuelle is the treasurer of the Swiss Association.
About Emmanuelle: She grew up in Paris and moved to Geneva about 13 years ago where she studied Law. After her bar exam in 2011, Emmanuelle worked and studied in Zurich, Beijing and London before relocating to Singapore with her husband in 2014. She is registered as a Foreign Lawyer in Singapore since January 2015 and works in a law firm since then. Eager to take an active part in the Swiss community in Singapore, she joined the committee in November 2017.
Favorite Local Dish: Dim Sum, Peking Duck and Satay.
Favorite Touristic Place: Tiong Bahru, Labrador Park and Sentosa.
Special Interest: Family, Sport, Music.
Webmaster & digital marketing
Lina is the digital marketing and webmaster of the Swiss Association.
About Lina: Lina holds a Master’ degree from EFP Lausanne in communication systems and has been employed in the IT and telecommunication industry as a project manager and as a marketing and sales manager in Switzerland. Lina relocated to Singapore in July 2017 with her husband. She decided to get involved in the Swiss Association of Singapore by taking over the role as Webmaster and Digital Marketing. She is keen to get in contact with other people and to explore Singapore’s art and culture. Lina joined the SAS Committee in January 2018.
Favorite Local Dish: Dim Sum, black pepper tiger prawn, Hotpot.
Favorite Touristic Place in Singapore: China Town, Botanic Garden, National Gallery, Art & Science Museum.
Special Interest: Traveling, Asian social media, reading, sports and good food paired with good wine.
SECRETARY & EVENT COORDINATOR
Daniela is the secretary of the Swiss Association and also responsible for sourcing and organising the Ladies Night and Ladies and Gents Night of the Swiss Association of Singapore.
About Daniela: Before relocating to Singapore in December 2015 with her husband and their little son, Daniela had been working over 6 years as a senior assistant in the Zurich banking industry and previously many years as organizer in the film industry. Three month after her second son was born end of 2016, Daniela started to look for a balance to the family life and found a great opportunity by SAS for organizing events, which has always been a great passion of hers as well as running the office.
Favorite Local Dish: Soft-shell Crab, Dim Sum, Laksa with Tiger Prawns, Roast Duck.
Favorite Touristic Place in Singapore: Dempsey Hill, Arab Street, Gardens by the Bay and Sentosa.
Special Interest: family & friends, travelling & different cultures, gym and reading.
Rebecca joined the SAS Committee as an Event Coordinator in January 2018.
About Rebecca: Rebecca grew up in Geneva/Vaud before moving to the UK to study. She graduated from the University of Cambridge and has 5 years of experience in biotech research and innovation, as well as marketing and events. Rebecca moved to Singapore in 2017 from the UK with her husband, where she is making the most of the food and travel opportunities.
