Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim year, is a month of intense prayer, strict fasting from dawn to sunset and nightly feasts for millions of Muslims. This year it is celebrated from the evening of Friday, 26 May until the evening of Saturday, 24 June. Time to know more about Islam’s holiest month and how it is celebrated here in Singapore!
Tour with our guide, Asogan, through historic Kampong Glam. Learn about the culture, religion, dressing, food and customs of our local Malay community in Singapore. A visit to a mosque along the trail is one of the highlights. As it is the month of Ramadan, we will be able to witness how the “breaking of fast” is observed. The tour will end at the heart of Arab Quarter where an array of delicious, “mouth-watering” food is available for you to sink your teeth into.
Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about why and how Muslims fast, how they break their fast and witness some Ramadan traditions right here in Singapore on this walking tour.
