Goodman Ceramic Studio

Dear Members and Friends,

We invite you to join this hands-on class to make your own ceramic. Experience the exhilarating sensation of throwing a soft lump of clay into a beautiful form, whether you are an absolute beginner or experienced thrower. You will be guided by an experienced instructor and gain the basic skills that are the backbone of pottery, as well as making your own pottery to take home.

About the class:

You will be instructed on how to use the throwing wheel to mould your clay into a bowl, vase, plate… whatever you decide! The class is designed for absolute beginners (although those with prior experience are welcome to come along too) and is suitable for anyone over 14 years old.

Price includes instruction by our artist and all materials. All works will be bisque fired and available for collection in 4 weeks. There is also the option to glaze work with our studio transparent glaze at only $10 per piece.

The Goodman Arts Centre also has a cafe and restaurant (Cafe Melba and La Barca) if you want to combine this fun workshop with a lunch or just grab a coffee before/after the session.
