Between Declarations and Dreams: Art of Southeast Asia since the 19th Century

Dear Members and Friends,

Come and join us for a guided tour of the following exhibition :

BETWEEN DECLARATIONS AND DREAMS: ART OF SOUTHEAST ASIA SINCE THE 19TH CENTURY

Our guide Sabine Silberstein, a volunteer docent, will take us through the UOB Southeast Asia Gallery at the National Gallery, to discover this powerful exhibition that looks at Southeast Asian art’s continuous encounter with the new, and how artists negotiated meaning and expression.

Note from the Gallery: This exhibition contains some artworks with potentially sensitive imagery. Visitor discretion is advised.

Venue: National Gallery, 1 St Andrew’s Rd, Singapore 178957. Meeting point at the Museum ticket office.

Saturday 10 April 2021, at 10:30 (until approximately 11:45)

Fee: SAS-Members join for free, non-Members pay SGD 15.
Each participant will have to buy the entry for the museum (SGD 20, which can be bought the same day).

Please note that due to the Singapore Government’s regulations, only a restricted number of people (including the host) are allowed to get together. Therefore, registration is mandatory if you wish to attend this event. Please register by April 8th.
