Come and join us for a guided tour of the DBS Singapore Gallery in the National Gallery, and enjoy afterwards Singapore’s fine flavors at National Kitchen by Violet Oon, located in this iconic historical City Hall building.

PROGRAM
10:45 am: DBS Singapore Gallery guided Tour (Meeting point at the Museum ticket office)
With our guide Sabine Silberstein, a volunteer docent of Friends of the Museums, we will meet the big names of Singapore Art, such as Liu Kang or Georgette Chen. Starting with the art from the early 19th century, when British and Chinese immigrant artists documented life on the island, we will then learn about the Nanyang style before finally ending our tour with very contemporary art installations.
12:00 – 1:30 pm: Lunch @ National Kitchen Singapore
The dishes at National Kitchen by Violet Oon celebrate Singapore’s fine flavors and represent the country’s rich history at the crossroads of the world. Take an immersive dive into this myriad of flavors inspired by the Nyonya, Chinese, Indian and Malay kitchens. Fee: SAS-Members join for free, non-Members pay SGD 10.
Each participant will have to buy the entry for the museum (SGD 20, which can be bought the same day). For the Lunch, all bills to be settled individually.

Please note that due to the Singapore Government’s regulations, only 5 people (including the host) are allowed to get together. Therefore, registration is mandatory if you wish to attend this event. Please register by November 14th. If the event is already fully booked and you want to be put on the waiting list, please send me an email.

No-shows will be charged. Free cancellation can be done till 2 days prior to the event by sending an email to: ecteam@swiss-sg.org. Cancellations made later will be charged the event costs.
