Join us for a Chinese New Year guided tour with Charlotte Chu to explore Chinatown.
Chinatown is always fascinating and even more bustling and vivid during the Chinese New Year celebrations. Hear about the customs, taboosand traditions of this exciting and colorful holiday. As we wander through the streets of Chinatown, learn about the history, enjoy the lights and atmosphere at this time of year. We will drop by a bakery that makes traditional Chinese cakes, meet sellers of incense and paper money, visit a clan house and a temple with a storied history, see beautiful Pussy Willows, cheery Chrysanthemums, Kumquats, colorful decorations; and at the end of the tour, you can take the opportunity to do shopping.
Please note: There will be a lot of walking, please put on comfortable footwear and bring your umbrella and drinking water.
Meeting point: At the pergola in front of Block 3 and behind the bus stop, corner of Neil Rd and Everton Rd. Parking is available at the start of this tour but as we will finish at different point, you are advised to use taxis or public transport to the meeting point.

Please note that due to the Singapore Government’s regulations, this event will be restricted to three groups of 5 people (max. 15 persons). Please, keep a safe and clear distance between the groups at all time. Registration is mandatory if you wish to attend this event. Please register by January 27th.

No-shows will be charged. Free cancellation can be done till 2 days prior to the event by sending an email to: ecteam@swiss-sg.org. Cancellations made later will be charged the event costs.
