Discover Tiong Bahru – Walking tour with the guide Charlotte Chu

Everyone loves the old world charm of Tiong Bahru – CNN Travel thinks it is “Singapore’s hippest hood” and Travel and Leisure Magazine deems it as “Singapore’s most charming neighbourhood”.

Come on this walk to learn why this area was once called the ‘Hollywood of Singapore’. Visit one of the oldest temples in Singapore and learn about the man who donated the land for it. Hear about the fascinating hobby of ‘Bird Singing’ and stop by the location ‘new’ and ‘old’ bird singing corners. Tea will be at the famous Tiong Bahru Market where we can sample some delicious hawker food (food included but drinks to be paid upon consumption). Towards the end of the walk, visit the Monkey God’s Shrine and hear stories of how he became a Deity.

Meeting point : Lobby of Holiday Inn Atrium at the junction of Havelock and Outram Road.

Maximum participants: 15 pax

Registration deadline: Monday, 18 May 2015. Your registration will be confirmed by email.

Cancellation after deadline or no show will be charged full amount.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
